Report of our new product, “e-WaCube” at the PIE2008

We, Shinko MechatroTech exhibited our new product, Dye-sublimation Photo Album Printer named as “e-WaCube” at the Photo Imaging Expo 2008(PIE2008) held at the ”Tokyo Big Sight” exhibition center during March 19 – 22, 2008. PIE is the biggest exhibition in Asia for photo imaging industry, where world’s leading enterprises gather.
At our booth, we exhibited our demonstration machines “e-WaCube”, the world’s first Dye-sublimation Photo Album Printer which realizes automatic photo album making from photo printing to complete album in compact size.

Brand name “e-WaCube” is named from “Ihatov” associated with Hanamaki and “Iwate”, and our enthusiasm to make great strides toward the world from Iwate, Japan is reflected. We will newly enter into photo imaging industry with our photo printer which is able to make photo album by utilizing our technologies and know-how cultivated from manufacturing of specialized printers for financial industry and others since long time.

【bottom left corner of the image】 “e-WaCube” has a capability to print variety sizes of photos from service size to panoramic size and to create albums only with exclusive Media set of 6” width roll paper and ink ribbon in full automatic. Also, compared with other dye-sublimation printers in general which print with 3 colors cyan (C), magenta (M) and yellow (Y), e-WaCube will print with 4 colors by adding black (K) and by this solution the depth and vividness of color is enhanced a lot. |
“e-WaCube” exhibited in PIE 2008 attracted a great attention of photo imaging industry and the reaction not only from photo shops and big electric appliances retailers but also from mass media and general photo users was very favorable.
